A Message to You from Bishop Denis - I want to take this opportunity to invite you to come to Carlow for this year’s celebration of the Chrism Mass on Monday, April 10th at 7.30pm in the Cathedral. During this Mass the Holy Oils that will be used across the diocese in baptisms, confirmations, ordinations and anointing of the sick will be blessed and the priests of the diocese will renew their vows of ordination.. I look forward to meeting and saying hello to as many of you as possible after the Mass over a cuppa next door in Carlow College. So put the date in your calendar because your presence will make all the difference!

WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES : 21-28th August 2018. Planning for this event is well underway. In this regard a national collection will be held next week-end 1 & 2 April. Your contribution to the blue bag (Offertory Collection) next week-end over and above the weekly average will go towards this collection. Your support is greatly appreciated.
BANK OF IRELAND ENTERPRISE TOWN EVENT: First meeting to launch this event will be held on Wednesday 29th March at 7.30pm in Kill GAA. All welcome.
KILL HISTORY GROUP: This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Fenian Rising of 1867 in which local man John Devoy took part. The History Group will be assembling at the John Devoy memorial on the Kill-Johnstown road on the evening of Mon 27th Mar at 8pm. In doing so they will be recreating a gathering which took place 50 years ago to mark the unveiling of the memorial. Afterwards the group will adjourn to the Parish Meeting Room for a talk by guest speaker Michael Kenny about the Fenian movement and the ill-fated Rising of 1867. Everyone is welcome.
